Although Breck Eisner’s involvement with Relativity’s new Stretch Armstrong film was announced before, back then we didn’t have any tidbits of story or other information for the not-well-though-out-at-all adaptation. Through a press release, Relativity has given some light worrying story details:
“This original story will be a gritty actioner introducing the character of Lucas Armstrong and the life-or-death consequences he will face after undergoing a transformation granting him superhuman abilities.”
Although the name “Stretch Armstrong” can be mistaken for a pornstar name, I really don’t see how Stretch Armstrong can be “gritty.” All I can think about is the problems Relativity is going to have when telling us we should take a film about some guy who has a corn syrup body seriously.
