By Mark your calenders, kiddies! The Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange, will be apparating into theaters on July 8th, 2016. Marvel’s Master of Mysticism, most likely (re: please, cinema gods) played by Joaquin Phoenix, will mark new territory for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as they have largely stayed away from the magic side of things (the Asgardians are actually aliens instead of gods, for instance). With a guy known as “Sorcerer Supreme,” I think it’s pretty obvious that there will be all sorts of mystical stuff going on in this film. And that’s a good thing.
With Sinister director Scott Derrickson at the helm, and following only a scant two months from the assuredly incredible third Captain America film releasing in May, 2016 is looking a lot more magical*.
