By So the upcoming movie about the CBGB nightclub seems to be getting quite the star power! The movie is said to star Alan Rickman as the club’s founder Hilly Kristal, and apparently another Harry Potter cast member is getting thrown in the mix. Rupert Grint, better known as everyone’s favorite ginger Ron Weasley, is said to be playing Cheetah Chrome, guitarist for the Dead Boys.
Meanwhile, Malin Akerman, of Rock of Ages and Watchmen fame, will be playing Blondie’s Debbie Harry. I’m actually not sure if I’m going to be able to take any interaction between Rickman and Grint seriously. They will be forever Snape and Ron in my heart.
But any chance to hear Alan Rickman’s sweet, smooth voice? Oh, I’m so in. That man could speak to me for the rest of my life, and I’d be so okay with that.
