So I would totally be down for a full-length parody of American Psycho starring Huey Lewis of Huey Lewis and the News and Weird Al Yankovic, but that may be just me personally. Regardless, Funny or Die released a video that is exactly that, American Psycho with Huey Lewis and Weird Al. It’s more or less a rough shot by shot remake of the whole scene with Christian Bale playing “Hip to be Square” in the background while getting ready to axe one of his coworkers.
To anyone who’s seen the movie, you’ll easily recognize how pretty spot-on the dialogue is in comparison to the original movie, and how eerily similar all the movements and actions are, and that the set is quite similar as well. Getting to see a semi-role reversal with Lewis talking about American Psycho is just simply great with homage to one of his other songs hidden in plain sight. That and who doesn’t want to see a (pretend) drunk Weird Al not knowing what is about to happen to him.
I’m still serious about that full-length parody of American Psycho starring Huey Lewis. Someone needs to get on that.
