Columbia Pictures and 20th Century Fox are teaming to bring George Clooney’s The Monuments Men to the big screen. The film is based on the book The Monument Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History written by Robert M. Edsel. The story of both the book and the film is that a World War II platoon of museum curators, directors, and art historians is formed and is tasked by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to go into Germany and rescue art masterpieces from Nazi thieves.
George Clooney is the co-producer, co-writer, director, and stars alongside with Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Bob Balaban (Moonrise Kingdom), and John Goodman. Grant Heslov (Argo) is also co-producing and co-wrote the script with Clooney. In these set photos, we get to see Damon in a military uniform and Clooney looking all fancy with his moustache.
