By Just when you think the world couldn’t get any more awesome, we finally have pictures of the glorious statue of Robocop that’s going to be placed in the city of Detroit. Detroit is were the original movie takes place and thus, justly, a petition began last year to commemorate the cinematic hero.
The statue picture isn’t actually it’s final form, this is a model made of foam, wax, clay, and steel, which will be transported to Venus Bronze Works in Detroit for the final bronze casting. This iteration already has a ton of fine detail in it, it’ll be awesome to see the final statue! Apparently there is still a lot of debate as to where the statue ought to be placed, and you can check out the project’s Kickstarter page (Yes, this whole thing is happening through Kickstarter) for more information.
