By There are a lot of different types of princess fan art out there, and a lot of it portrays a more dystopian viewpoint. I’m a big fan of Dina Goldstein’s Fallen Princesses collection. It’s a dark look at a more modern princess without getting into creepy territory.
That is not the case with Thomas Czarnecki’s From Enchantment to Down collection. In his world, each princess’ life ends, and it’s always rapetastic. Leg Avenue costumes? Splayed legs? Check. Skirts hiked up on the bodies? Check. The fact that none of the women’s faces are showing makes it even creepier. This goes beyond subverting the usually idyllic princess life and straight into sexualizing death.
Look at the gallery to see the photos more closely, but be warned that they’re slightly NSFW for almost-but-not-quite panty shots. The most revealing one is for The Little Mermaid, since Ariel’s tail is made of clear plastic wrap and it’s pretty obvious that she shaves. You can also head over to the artist’s website for alternate shots and other collections. None of the other ones are quite as rape-y.
