By In keeping with the trend of bringing the 80’s back to the forefront of our minds, the beloved Choose Your Own Adventure novels are getting their very own movie. Screenwriters Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon (Night at the Museum), along with director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball), have taken on the task of bringing Edward Packard’s stories to life.
No word yet on which of the hundred plus Choose Your Own Adventure stories the movie will focus on, or how the film will let us “choose” our own adventure, exactly. Here’s to hoping for a Clue situation where the audience is offered multiple ending options. Or maybe we’ll just be sleeping gassed mid-movie and dream our own ending. We’ll have to wait and see.
