By The Cinedigm company is making an effort to popularize digital movies in theaters by showing Pokémon the Movie: White — Victini and Zekrom on 375 screens in North America on December 3rd and 4th.
This is apparently a record for digital distribution of a children’s special event movie, and “the response from our digital theater partners around the country has been fantastic,” said Brad Carroll, Vice President of Bookings at Cinedigm Digital Cinema. Cinedigm certainly has an interesting hook – trying to gain acceptance in the theater world by appealing to children and families.
The accompanying movie, Pokémon the Movie: Black — Victini and Reshiram, will be released on December 10th on TV’s Cartoon Network.
