Now joining Jamie Foxx as Electro, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, and [spoiler replaced by delicious Hostess Fruit Pies] Emma Stone in the Marc Webb directed sequel to this year’s semi-blockbuster dad killer, The Amazing Spider-man, is Dane Dehann who has one of the most comic book-y names ever.
Yesterday Marc Web announced, via Twitter (which seems to be all the rage for announcements now), that DeHaan is cast as Harry Osborn (the header image is what he’ll look like) for the upcoming sequel (sequels?). DeHaan was just awesome in Chronicle (and he was in Lawless too!), so I’m seriously grateful that he got the role.
What could this mean for the films? Now that Harry is here, does that mean Norman isn’t too far behind? Is Harry going to go Hobgoblin for the third film so they don’y have two giant green guys fighting Spider-man for three movies? (Remember the first Raimi one? Yeah you do). Needless to say I’m more excited now that The Amazing Spiderman 2: Revenge of the Revengeancer more than before even if Webb plans to [Hostess Fruit Pies].
