Del Toro’s Crimson Peak to horrify in 2015

Guillermo Del Toro is officially returning to horror as Crimson Peak, his upcoming haunted house film, has gotten an April 2015 release date. The movie has been collecting up a fantastic cast like Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hidleston, and will be quite the departure from Del Toro’s mega-blockbuster Pacific Rim

THR broke the news, and initially reported that the new title of the film was Haunted Peak, but thankfully that was corrected because that is a really terrible title. Del Toro has been talking up Crimson Peak for a while now, and it looks to tap into his previous horror work like Pan’s Labyrinth by being a legitimate adult horror that cares about its characters and actually being scary more than blood. As a guy who came out of Pacific Rim a bit let down I can’t wait for this to roll around.
