By Everybody’s favorite fast-talking, ultra-witty writer, Diablo Cody, is set to make her directorial debut. The comedy, entitled Lamb of God, is reportedly about a very religious woman who, after surviving a plane crash, turns her back from faith and begins to live la vida loca. Along the way, she re-discovers religion and will, probably, become a moral person again. Of course, Cody will also be writing the script.
The premise doesn’t sound too surprising. If I were a betting man, the early scenes would illuminate the main character’s naivete and innocence and, following the crash, those same features will be contrasted with this “life of sin” she’ll follow. There’ll probably be a lot of conversations where she gets confused over sexual innuendos. There’ll probably also be a lot of hip, new slang that we’re just salivating over. Maybe Cody will drop some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles references in to go along with her Thundercats quip in Juno.
