We haven’t written much on Arjun: The Warrior Prince, but today we’re remedying this fact because Disney evidently think its something talk about. They’re so sure of it they’re running a week long engagement (Sept. 3 – 9)of the film in L.A. in order to qualify it for Oscar consideration… or they just possibly have to because of contractual obligations. It’s unclear.
The the Indian film was made by UTV, which was recently acquired by Disney and tells the untold story of India’s greatest hero. You can check the trailer out above. It looks nice, but the animation definitely feels more Saturday morning cartoon than Academy Award winning Disney film. There are some parts that could be stunning, but overall it looks pretty stiff.
