By Guile’s Theme Goes with Everything is one of those memes that lasts. Probably because Guile’s theme does go with everything. There have been numerous attempts to recreate the Guile meme with other music. For example, last year The Walk of Life Project claimed that “Walk of Life” by Dire Staits is the perfect song to end any movie. It doesn’t always work, but the best example of it by far is RoboCop:
A new Guile’s-theme-style meme has entered the fray, and it involves the theme song from the late 80s sitcom Just the Ten of Us. Given, it doesn’t quite work as well as Guile’s theme, but it’s surprising how well “Doin’ It the Best I Can” works with a wide range of cultural detritus.
