Don’t worry: Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie begins shooting April 11

Snyder Cut vs. Whedon Cut

Last week we mentioned the rumors that Warner Bros is worried about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Early reactions to the film have been divisive, and given the hefty price tag of the movie, studio suits are wondering how much they’ll make back and if the movie will be the proper launching point for the DC Cinematic Universe. Drew McWeeny of HitFix, who first brought up these rumors, guessed that Justice League might be delayed and Zack Snyder may be off the project.

Turns out McWeeny was wrong about his assumptions.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Snyder will start shooting the first of two Justice League movies starting April 11th. That’s just weeks after the release of Batman v Superman. In fact, Snyder included a behind-the-scenes shot on Twitter with Jason Momoa (playing Aquaman).

If you look closely on the left of that pic, you can see a small tease of the Flash costume. You can see a bigger version of the image in the gallery.

With Justice League on schedule and almost underway, it looks like WB is still going all-in on their cinematic universe. Unless something drastic happens, we’ll see the finished film some time in 2017. We’ll have Batman v Superman to whet our appetites on March 25.
