By Paramount and MGM have finally coughed up money to produce Brett Ratner’s adaptation of Hercules: The Thracian Wars comic (which has been in development hell for the past two years). While I have never read the comic itself, I assume it’s filled to the brim with half naked muscly dudes since Dwayne “The People’s Champion/The Rock” Johnson is set to star. Hercules starts shooting early next year, and will most likely release in 2015.
Seeing as how Ratner’s last film, Tower Heist, was just so-so, I’m sure we’ll all forget about this one. Besides if you’re out there looking for some good musclebound slaying action, I know of an even better upcoming film that deserves your attention.
