As has been the case with so many other film and television shoots, Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho had to suspend operations earlier this year as the Covid-19 pandemic began to unfold. While the film had a scheduled release date of September 25 later this year, it was painfully obvious that they weren’t going to be able to meet that date.
Haunted by someone else’s past, but we’ll see you in the future… It’s true, #LastNightInSoho is not quite finished yet due to Covid 19. But, I'm excited for you all to experience it, at a big screen near you, on April 23, 2021. @LastNightInSoho @FocusFeatures @universaluk pic.twitter.com/zmPnAZICkb

Today through Wright’s twitter we got confirmation that the release date had been pushed back almost seven months to April 23, 2021. In the tweet, Wright joins with Christopher Nolan in insisting that his movie be seen in a theater, a prospect that is still in question barring the evolution of the pandemic. The delay wouldn’t be as painful if we had even a scantling of a trailer to hold us over but for now we must continue to be patient.
Last Night in Soho will release on April 23, 2021, starring Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, and Terence Stamp.
