Epic full trailer for the Japanese remake of Unforgiven

A full trailer has arrived for Yurusarezaru mono, the Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven starring Ken Watanabe and directed by Sang-il Lee. And man is it incredible. While the teaser trailer last year was very promising, this full trailer is downright epic.

Sure, there aren’t any subtitles on this, but the mood and the imagery are extremely compelling. I hope that this remake brings a new perspective to the story of the Eastwood film, and also some twists that distinguish the underpinnings of the chambara movie from the Western.

Yurusarezaru mono comes out in Japan on September 13th. No word on international release yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
