By I was quite the fan of the relaunch of Evil Dead, and with rumors of Ash returning for a crossover at some point and a sequel pretty much confirmed things looked up for more ridiculous bloodshed and awesome. Then director Fede Alvarez left the sequel and things seemed a bit shakey. Now, Jane Levy, the star and “new Ash” for the films says it most likely isn’t happening either.
I don’t think they’re gonna make it. I mean, they’re always coming up with a new thing- now I hear they’re making a TV show. I was like, what? [Laughs] I honestly don’t know, but it doesn’t seem like there’s going to be an Evil Dead 2 anytime soon. At least, not with me in it.
Now actors are usually the last to know anything, but she’s an integral part of the story obviously so you’d think she’d be a bit in the loop. It’s a bit odd that there are so many issues as the reboot did do well at the box office and on home video. Hopefully Raimi et al. are still working in some dark corner of awesome to get us more Evil Dead.
