Whenever I’d walk into Saturday Matinee, I’d always look at their Criterion Collection section and wonder, “Why would I pay $40 dollars for a DVD?†This was before Blu-ray, mind you. Actually, do they make Criterion Blu-rays? If so, they must be like, $100 each. Note to self: investigate this.
For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, the Criterion Collection are special editions of movies Criterion puts out with special packaging for connoisseurs with money to burn. Fortunately, JoBlo.com discovered an awesome site full of hilarious mock-ups of movies that will likely never qualify for Criterionization.
I posted some of my favorites in the gallery. Check them out and let me know which is yours. Mine is certainly Ghost Dad, followed closely by the very Shawshank-esque Ernest Goes to Jail.
