Bryan singer’s X-Men: First Class sequel, Days of Future Past, sounds fantastic. So far, he’s managed to bring back Sir Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, and even Hugh Jackman to reprise their roles for the new film (even if Jackman never really left the role). There were even rumors that James Marsden, Ellen Page, Kelsey Grammer, Famke Jansssen, and even Greg the Teamster, the scruff guy with a heart of gold, were being courted also. Well…no one told Famke Janssen any of that.
While speaking with Collider and promoting her role in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, a job she only took just so she could wear a leather dress again…probably, Janssen had this gem of a quote concerning DOFP:
If you run into Bryan Singer, just tell him I’ve been sitting by the phone, I’ve been hearing rumors of all these people getting cast; what about me? I’m waiting!
Poor, Famke. This is somehow both sad and hilarious at the same time. Hilarious because no one wants Janssen, and sad that those rumors about more of the old cast coming back could be untrue. With filming scheduled to start soon, I really hope we hear more about this in the coming months. Also, someone please get Famke a job. Please.
