By When you think of Stranger Things, Burger King and its famous Whopper don’t really come to mind. According to Entertainment Weekly, the large fast-food chain and Stranger Things are teaming up to offer hungry fans of the show a twist on the classic Whopper. That’s right they literally are serving the Whopper upside-down as a nod to the alternate universe in Stranger Things. The packing will also be all 80’s themed.
The promotion starts on June 21 in only a few select cities, Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles. If you aren’t near any of these cities then perhaps a road trip is in order, that is if you are a die-hard fan of the show.
Burger King is not only offering up the twisty Whopper but also offering up get this limited edition ketchup packets and t-shirts!. Now, remember when McDonald’s offered up special edition Rick and Morty Szechuan Sauce and how well that went? Will the same thing happen with this promotion? Who knows?
Stranger Things Season 3 will premiere on Netflix July 4 so if you want to try an upside-down Whopper head to your nearest Burger King and let us know if it does taste different.
