By People really really want James Gunn to get his job back (despite the controversy). A group of hardcore fans of James Gunn and the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise recently started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to post billboards near Disney’s parks in both California and Florida.
Below is the fruits of their labor and I must say it certainly is eye-catching.
This all started with the RehireJamesGunn.com website which led into the GoFundMe that launched on September 20th. As of this writing, the campaign has raised $5,000 with an ultimate goal of $12,000. Using this money the organizers plan to put up billboards monthly. The one pictured up above can be spotted close to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. There are no plans as of yet for when a billboard will appear near Disneyworld in Florida.
Sadly because of Gunn being fired from Guradians, the third movie is now on hold. Disney and Marvel are reportedly searching for another director. Will Gunn be rehired back because of the fans who want him back so badly? That remains up to Disney and I believe they know how fans feel but at this point probably just want to distance themselves from Gunn as much as possible.
