By Back in August we mentioned that Ken Watanabe was set to star in Lee Sang-Il’s Yurusarezaru Mono, a Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven. Some new images of the film showed up online last week, and they look pretty promising. With Watanabe in the Eastwood position, co-stars Akira Emoto and Koichi Sata will play the Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman characters, respectively.
Take a look at these Yurusarezaru Mono images in the gallery. Obviously no release date for Yurusarezaru Mono yet since it’s still in production, but expect it some time next year. Whenever it comes out, I am totally watching Unforgiven and this in the same week.
