Yesterday we showed you some set photos from Total Recall, which will be a more faithful adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s original story (basically more Asia, less Mars, by like 100%). Collin Farrell looks badass here, even at gunpoint, I must say. Len Wiseman is directing from a script by Kurt Wimmer, Mark Bomback, and James Vanderbilt. Len Wiseman, as you may remember, was the man behind Live Free or Die Hard, which was awesome, as well as the two Underworld movies that he directed, which were… movies as well. Joining Collin Farrell are Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and John Cho. If you aren’t excited about that casting, then you’re a dumb sh!t. Here’s the official synopsis:
[Via SlashFilm]Welcome to Rekall, the company that with one little implant can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Doug Quaid (Colin Farrell), the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his ordinary existence. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. With the line between fantasy and reality blurred and the fate of his world hanging in the balance, Quaid goes on the run to discover his true identity, his true love, and his true fate. Based on Philip K. Dick’s classic story “I Can Remember It For You Wholesale,” this brand new take on some of his most visionary ideas is directed by Len Wiseman and stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, John Cho and Bryan Cranston.
