By While Michel Gondry’s past few movies have been rather odd forays into the mainstream (The Green Hornet anyone?) it looks like Gondry’s going to be returning to the unique style of his older movies, (The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) with his next movie, Mood Indigo.
There’s a whole bunch of pictures in the gallery below from Mood Indigo and from the looks of it, things are gonna get surreal again. Which is totally Gondry’s specialty. The story of the movie is that a young wealthy french man named Colin, Romain Duris, falls for a lovely young woman named Chloe, Audrey Tautou, but she soon falls ill after inhaling a water lily into her lung. The only way for Colin to cure Chloe’s sickness is to constantly surround her with flowers, which uses up all of his funds.
Mood Indigo sounds pretty adorable so far and I hope that there are tons of scenes of beautiful flowers surrounding Tautou, because that might make my heart explode. Unfortunately, as of yet no U.S. release date has been announced.
