First official trailer for Jon Favreau’s Chef

Chef is an interesting film. It’s definitely Favreau’s passion project, but it just doesn’t quite gel completely. I saw the film at SXSW and while I liked most of what I saw, the majority of the film lacked Favreau’s trademark sharpness. This first trailer for Chef shows a bit of that lost promise. 

While it’s not all bad enough to say Favreau’s knife has dulled, but seeing the Twitter jokes again (as well as every other good joke from the film) made me realize it’s not quite as funny as I remembered. But hey, maybe you guys’ll dig it. Don’t let me spoil your appetite. Chef serves it up May 9th.
