By The first photo from Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator has leaked online, and it seems to sustain all the irony and silliness that is a Sacha Baron Cohen/Larry Charles collaboration (Borat, Bruno). I mean, look at that star spangled jumpsuit! I’m just shocked that I’ve never seen that suit on a hipster riding his fixie to a mobile vintage store.
The Dictator is a story about a dictator who is dedicated to ensure that the devil’s ideology (democracy) never reaches the country he so lovingly oppresses. It’s inspired by Saddam Hussein’s novel Zabibah and the King (yes, THAT Saddam Hussein) and will star the likes of Anna Farris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas (who plays Rafi from The League).
