At some point in my past I’m pretty sure I read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day because I’m pretty sure every child on earth has to in order to grow up, but damned if I remember it. So I have very little to go on as to whether or not this looks like a faithful adaptation, but I’m leaning towards not. It seems more like a comedic vehicle for its starts, but that might not be all bad.
Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner are funny people and Disney is good at family movies so let’s call it a wash here and enjoy a film that somehow crams both a kangaroo chase and a surprise crocodile into one trailer. The film lands on October 10.
