First trailer for Barely Lethal sure is lethal

I’m immediately interested whenever A24 picks up a film. They’ve done such a good job of picking out the more interesting and experimental properties like Ex Machina, Spring Breakers, Obvious Child, and so on. Their latest film is Barely Lethal, a film starring Hailee Steinfeld as a teenage assassin who just wants to live a normal high school life. 

To tell you the truth, I have a big weakness for high concept teen films and totally miss how they rules the late 90s. I’m feeling all sorts of good vibes from the trailer, even if it’s the entire plot, and I can’t wait to see what kind of snappy dialogue there is. Barely Lethal hits VOD May 29th, but if you’ve got Direct TV you can see it starting April 30th.
