John Wick has no right looking as interesting as it does. Revenge thrillers are always hit or miss. You take an aging actor, and send him out to kill some dudes. Sometimes it’s goofy fun (Man of Fire), sometimes it’s goofy for the wrong reasons (Edge of Darkness), and sometimes it just works (Taken). John Wick looks especially like the latter, thankfully. 

John Wick stars Keanu Reeves (and Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, and WILLEM DAFOE) as a retired hitman who goes on a spree after an attack leads to the death of his adorable dog. Seriously. Sure the dog was a present from his lost wife, but how many films start off because of a dog? Why can’t this be every movie ever? John Wick blows up October 24th.
