First trailer for Paddington Bear does not ditch the creepy

This is going to give kids nightmares

Remember yesterday when I showed you those really creepy Paddington images. Well, it’s about to get worse. We can now see Paddington Bear in live action and it’s… just… I don’t know. It’s not pretty, that’s for sure. 

I’m always excited when Hugh Bonneville is around and Paddinton is being voiced by Colin Firth (not quite clear if that just means grunting), but man does this look singularly un-entertaining. Paddington’s charm came from quirky misunderstanding not shoving toothbrushes in his ears as far as I recall. Plus, he just just looks really creepy.
