First trailer for San Andreas starring Dwayne Johnson and earthquakes

Dwayne Johnson has been shaking up the film world for a few years now, but outside of Disney and few disappointing missteps, he has yet to find a breakout lead role. Hoping to remedy this is San Andreas, the Californian disaster film. 

Starring Johnson as helicopter pilot who has to work with his ex-wife in order to rescue his daughter (Alexandra Daddario) who’s stuck in the middle of it all. Directed by Brad Peyton (Journey 2), the trailer has a few wonky shots but I’m a sucker for slow covers of pop songs. Here’s hoping it’ll be the Summer blockbuster (that’s not Fast & Furious) that puts Johnson on the map. San Andreas shakes into theaters May 29th, 2015.
