Everyone has their own opinion of 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Production was troubling from the get go, but the final product wasn’t as rough as I figured. Sure it wasn’t the best film, and it’s still nowhere near as good as Nickelodeon’s current running series, but it had a few cute moments reminiscent of the turtles we know and love. It seems Paramount realized what worked in the first film and is amping it up for the sequel.
We’ve got Bebop and Rocksteady (Gary Anthony Williams and WWE’s Sheamus), Casey Jones (Arrow’s Stephen Amell), a new Shredder, Tyler Perry, all kinds of goofiness, and some of the expected roughness from the first film. However, this trailer’s been cut pretty well so I’m not sure how to feel right now.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows releases June 3rd.
