If you had told me in 2005 that Dreamworks was launching a massive franchise with its admittedly entertaining Madagascar I would have pointed you towards the door marked “Wrong.” Clearly I should have been leading myself there as it’s not only spawned two sequels and television series, but now a movie based off its television series. That’s some impressive franchising right there.
That movie is The Penguins of Madagascar and this is the trailer for it. It actually looks funnier than the last two Madagascar films and if the penguins can carry a show I guess they can carry a move. Plus Benedict Cumberbatch is the wolf character and that makes any movie better. Penguins on the big screen on November 26, 2014.
