Matatoro, by Mauro Carraro, Raphaël Calamote, and Jérémy Pasquet, is an excursion into color and texture. Both of which are preforming in this piece in ways only animation can induce. The stunning-looking short also takes some unexpected, surrealist turns.
Described as “The hermetic world of bullfighting and its public, here reinvented and reinterpreted”, Matatoro is a very poetic take on the controversial tradition.
