By One Step Forward is the short film that won the recent Boston 48 Hour Film Project – in which movie-making teams write, shoot, edit and score a short film, in only 48 hours. One Step Forward was the recipient of the Boston 48 Hour Film Project’s Best Film, Best Directing, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing awards. It’s pretty easy to see why!
While the film kind of employs a single editing trope throughout, it somehow remains fresh and visually captivating, even though it’s not a new idea by any means. Also, the ending is adorable. I mean, it even made me say “aaaawwwww” at the end.
