In Skhizein, we meet a man named Henry who was unluckily directly hit by a meteorite one night, which separated his physical self from the rest of the world by exactly 91 centimeters. However, to the rest of the world he remains completely normal. Henry struggles with getting anyone to believe his seemingly impossible problem while desperately trying to reorganize his perspective of the physical world.
Skhizein is a beautiful little short by Jeremy Clapin. I love how the problems facing Henry are both existential and extremely physical. Because don’t we all have those kinds of problems?
