Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom recently opened this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been garnering favorable reviews. It looks like a swell old time judging from the film’s trailer and the B-roll footage we mentioned the other week — another work that seems to have been made by a precocious child prodigy with a love for dioramas and a penchant for vintage clothing and vintage vinyl.
The film won’t be hitting our shores until later this month, so to continue to whet your appetite, here are four behind-the-scenes featurettes for Moonrise Kingdom narrated by Bob Balaban. Above we have a little bit on the RZA’s and the GZA’s good pal Bill Murray (aka Bill “Groundhog-Day, Ghostbustin’-ass” Murray). The other three featurettes cover Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, and Wes Anderson.
Check out the other three videos after the cut. Moonrise Kingdom hits select theaters on May 25th. In the meantime, I will wear a cricket jacket, listen to Jacques Dutronc, and continue to blog and write obscure novels on my portable aqua blue Smith Corona Corsair Deluxe.
