It seems that Paramount didn’t take their time utilizing the Friday the 13th rights they now have thanks to Warner Bros. Paramount will be releasing all twelve of the Jason Voorhees movies on Blu-ray and the lucky date for their release will be Friday, September 13th. Mark that down on your calendar folks!
The entire collection will now be on Blu-ray with seven of the films making their Blu-ray debut. It will be a 10-disc collection that will run for $129.95 that will have the twelve films on nine discs while the tenth disc will have special features about the making of the franchise. The collection comes with a bunch of other things:
The must-own set will be presented in a collectible tin case with 11 hours of previously released special features and a 40-page soft cover book. The book is excerpted from Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday The 13th, a fan-favorite volume that’s viewed as the ultimate memoir of the series, and highlights some of the 200 interviews, 600 photos, storyboards, concept art and more. Also included is a brand new, official Camp Crystal Lake embroidered Counselor Patch.
