By Did you think Disney was just going to let the incredible success of Frozen sit there and… well continue to be successful thanks to toys, television and marketing? No, that’s not how they play. Idinia Menzel says that the studio has plans for Frozen 2, kind of. Basically, she’s pretty sure something is happening, but she doesn’t know when or where or if she’ll actually be in it.
When asked if she would star in the suspected sequel she said, “Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.”
Otherwise pretty non-committal and actually no confirmation of a sequel at all. This is especially true since Deadline reports that sources close to Frozen say that there are no plans for a sequel. I loved the first, but I don’t know if a second will really work. Then again I thought Toy Story 3 was a bad idea and we all know how that turned out.
