When the first trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard landed I loved it. Not the movie. The trailer. It was clever and played with the classic The Bodyguard. However, I still wasn’t sure about the movie itself. Often these kind of action comedies can fall of a cliff when you see the full thing, unable to keep their own momentum.
The second trailer gives me a lot more confidence. We get to see a bit more of the plot unfold, and a whole lot more of Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson sparring off each other. How those two work together is really what’s going to make this movie sink or swim, and from this trailer it looks like they’re going to work really well together.
