By Fangoria brings news that Gary Busey has been cast in Piranha 3DD. People are of course wondering what his role will be but I’m not convinced he won’t just be a piranha extra since the fish are supposed to grow larger in the sequel; it wouldn’t take much CGI to make it convincing. In other news, Fangoria has the most needlessly complex URL structure in Internet history.
Piranha 3DD is currently filming in Wilmington, North Carolina, and will be directed by John Gulager, the man who directed the Feast trilogy. Also cast in the sequel are Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies, Friday the 13th remake), Matt Bush (Halloween II, Adventureland), Chris Zylka (My Super Psycho Sweet 16), David Koechner (Waiting…, The Office), Meagan Tandy, Paul James Jordan, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Hector Jimenez, Adrian Martinez and Clu Gulager. Expect more blood, boobs, and Busey to grace the big screen on November 23rd later this year.
