Gulliver’s Travels, an upcoming arthouse film that seeks to force the audience into projectile vomiting that has been compared to the Cremaster cycle, has recently pushed back its release date. The film, starring Jack Black as the titular Gulliver, is going to be releasing on Christmas Day, rather than the previously-stated release date of December 22nd.
Most likely, this is to give Gulliver a fighting chance this holiday season, as a 12/22/10 release puts it in direct competition with Little Fockers and True Grit, both likely to make way more bank. Also, it is further proof that there is no God, and our continuing insistence on celebrating his supposed son’s birth does nothing more than anger the fundamentally evil forces of the universe.
I wish my headline read “Gulliver’s Travels gets pushed back indefinitely.” I’m not looking forward to Gulliver’s Travels could you tell?Â
