After Harrison Ford told Ridley Scott the Blade Runner 2 script was the best thing he’s ever read, it appears he’s finally signed on for the sequel. And now that the ball’s rolling, Alcon Entertainment has a director in talks. Since Ridley Scott won’t be as involved in the sequel as he was with the original (leaving the writing and directing to other folks), Prisoners and Enemy director Denis Villenueve is currently in talks.
I really don’t like Prisoners, but lots of other people did and Enemy was pretty good. So let’s say I’m in the cautiously optimistic camp. Then again, this is a Blade Runner sequel we’re talking about here.
