By Surprising absolutely no-one Harrison Ford has said that he wants to play the role of his life once more. Speaking to the Telegraph he has said that “We’ve seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it’s perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie.” Speaking of ‘great movies’ have you seen the dense masterpiece that is the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
Ford does hint that his character wouldn’t have to be such an action hero this time round, saying he “doesn’t necessarily have to kick as much ass” which, well, kind of defeats the point of macho-male power fantasy that Indiana Jones brings. Frankly I think the series had a fine ending with Crusade but, well, money talks and all that. It’d be nice to see if Spielberg and Lucas could ever recapture the glory days of old Indy but I doubt that will ever happen.
