By I recently wrote a Some Like It Hot waxing lyrical on my love of all things Emily Blunt, and at Christmas chose the mind-blowingly perfect Alison Brie as the girl I’d most like to find under my tree, wearing stockings and a small see-through negligée that… oh my, I’m drooling.
It turns out that Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek director Nicholas Stoller shares my total adoration of the glorious muses Brie and Blunt, both highly talented comediennes as well as being gorgeous (alright for some), casting them together in his upcoming rom-com Five-Year Engagement. Not much has been revealed about the story, but Blunt will be playing Jason Segel’s wife, while Brie will – good god! – be playing her sister. Her English sister. That’s Alison Brie, doing an English accent, playing Emily Blunt’s sister. Well played, Stoller. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to… sit down. Alone. For about five minutes.
