The re-adaptation of Stephen King’s It has been through some rough times. New directors (currently under Mama‘s Andrés Muschietti), and creative and studio differences changed the project from two films (adapting both halves of King’s huge book), but casting Bill Skarsgård (Allegiant) was a step in the right direction.
But enough about that, the one thing folks remember most about It was the short TV series and Tim Curry’s terrifying Pennywise the dancing clown. While the first image of Skarsgard in full clown make-up is awesome, I definitely want to see what he brings to the role. He’ll always be compared to Curry, but I’m hopeful this reboot/re-adaptation will be different enough to stand on its own.
