By Guardians of the Galaxy had a lot of things. Green skinned folks, talking plants and animals, attractive men, and loads of shout outs to the original comics books. What it didn’t have, however, was Nova. Nova, or Richard Rider, is an man who joins the intergalactic space police, the Nova Corps (which are featured heavily in the film), and fights galactic crimes.
An appearance from the hero was considered at point in the production (resulting in the art below), but was most likely cut due to the film already having every character ever. One more probably would’ve toppled the whole thing. Anyway, here’s art for the character featured in the book, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Art of the Movie.
