Over the past two weeks, we here at Flixist have shared what we consider to be the best and worst movies of 2020 by giving them our illustrious Golden Cages. To earn a Golden Cage is an honor that few films can have, so our selection process was rigorous. There were many films that could have won, but sadly they’ll just have to settle for the Golden Globes going home losers. Some categories were fiercely debated amongst the more limited pool of nominees leading to numerous tiebreakers and debates resulting in people being sent to the hospital. But we stand by our results.
2020 may have been a terrible year for movies and will go down in history as probably one of the worst years of film in history. Not just in modern history, history period. We started off 2020 with such hope in our eyes, but it ended up just disappointing us and leaving us barely alive. But at least we had movies! And really, isn’t that all that matters?
Here are all of the categories, nominees, and winners of the 2020 Golden Cages.
